Rhonda Andersen, Division Manager/Finance Specialist/Mortgage Broker

Graduated from Devry of Chicago and worked in many financing institutions such as JP Morgan, Sumitomo Bank and ABN – AMRO in downtown Chicago. Rhonda has taken her business degree and her financial background to be able to educate clients in both arenas.

She currently leads the team of Creative Loan Specialists at My Creative Loan. She also has her Series 7 and Insurance licenses with their sister company First Florida Planning Group. Rhonda strives to offer her clients the broader spectrum of services and it is important to her to take the time to show clients how all of these entities work together in harmony to maximize the goals being strived for. In this changing market she now specializes in Loan Modification and Short Sales giving people in distress a glimmer of hope in these difficult times.

Valarie Nussbaum, Commercial and Residential Finance Specialist/Mortgage Broker

Valarie grew up in St. Petersburg, graduating from Lakewood High and the University of Florida with a degree in Political Science (though she dreamed of becoming a pilot!). Valarie’s extensive career in banking began as a Branch Manager for NCNB (now Bank of America). She soon moved into Commercial Lending where she spent five years before founding First Financial Associates. She is a licensed mortgage broker and real estate salesperson.

In 1999, Valarie founded First Financial Associates, joining forces with Rhonda Andersen in 2004. Their goal is to focus on the needs of individuals – people – looking to finance a home. While there are banks on every street corner, Valarie recognizes the need for personalized programs that people can really relate to. Valarie also appreciates the value of community service and has served on numerous charitable organizations including the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Tampa Bay, Leadership Pinellas, Leadership Tampa Bay, Leadership St. Petersburg, The Environmental Development Commission and the Board of Adjustment.

Luis Silva, Mortgage Broker

Luis is originally from the Chicago area and graduated with an Economics degree from NIU. He started as a credit analyst in 1994 and has been in mortgages since 1996. His mortgage experience covers consumer lending, processing, closing, underwriting, management, and sales. His all-around experience in his industry coupled with his understanding of today’s economy has made him a valuable asset to any client needing to refinance, purchase, or even just a consultation with their home financing situation. Luis has been in Tampa since 2002 and has been married for 4.5 yrs. He and his wife have a 3.5 yr old boy and live the Westchase area. He is involved with professional organizations such as GTAR (Greater Tampa Assoc of Realtors), HYPE (Hispanic Young Professionals & Entrepreneurs), FAMB (FL Assoc of Mortgage Brokers), Tampa Chamber of Commerce, and BNI – Profit Pros Chapter (Business Network International) – the largest network of professionals in the world .

Joan Walker, Mortgage Broker/Realtor
	JOAN WALKER was raised in Atlanta, Ga., graduated from Vassar College In Music and Languages, grew up in New York City (for almost 20 years) singing opera, then flying with TWA as an International Purser. Joan moved to Pass-a-Grille, Fla., in 1986 and has been a Realtor with Frank T. Hurley Associates, Inc., for 22 years, and a Licensed Mortgage Broker for 18 years. She is not only experienced, but an expert on the beaches of St. Petersburg.

Erwin Andersen, Mortgage Broker/Licensed Contractor

Erwin Andersen has been in Contracting and Real Estate for 40 years He has been a licensed Mortgage Broker since 2003 and is now focusing on Short Sales. He counsels his clients and negotiates with the banks to make the process as stress free for the sellers as possible. He brings life experience through many economic ups and downs to help ease his clients’ burden. Erwin is originally from Denmark and has a European flare to his unique designs. . He adds a special value to his clients that are trying to improve their property along with their lifestyle.

Ken Carey, Mortgage Broker
	Ken has over 25 years of sales marketing and management skills and has held various titles throughout his career such as: VP Sales and Marketing, International Sales Manager, National Sales Manager and National Representative Sales Manager. Today we are happy to have him on our team as one of our loan specialist. Ken is originally from Wisconsin where he received his Bachelor’s degree. He has his Florida Mortgage Brokers license and also Florida 2-15 Health, Life, and Annuities License.

Ben Kendrick
	Ben moved to Florida from the Virginia/Washington D.C. area in 2002. He has been a mortgage broker since 1993. Ben loves to help people reach their goals of owning a home for their families since he himself, is a loving father of a large family. His passion is mortgages and educating clients on the difficulties of the ever changing markets.
